SENIOR SESSION
( age 13 - 19 ) from 6.30pm - 9.30pm. Sessions are supervised by staff and volunteers, all of whom have undergone a CRB check. Current facilities include a pro-standard table-tennis table, two pool tables, six computers with internet access, X-Box 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and two widescreen plasma TVs. While there is no lack of things to do, above all Alpha Grove Youth Club provides a safe place for young people to hang out and enjoy each other’s company.
Alpha Grove Community Centre is an umbrella body and landlord to a number of independent voluntary organisations on the Isle of Dogs. The Centre is located in the Old Methodist Church building in Alpha Grove, Isle of Dogs. On 21 August 1980, Methodist Church trustees donated the building to Alpha Grove Community Trust for the benefit of the community. As a result Alpha Grove Community Centre was established, as a multi purpose centre which offers social and recreational services to local people in Isle of Dogs area of London Borough of Tower Hamlets. A board of Trustees comprises of people from the local business community and residents of Isle of Dogs who meet every month to monitor the operations, finances, human resource and overall strategic direction of the centre.
About Alpha Grove
Youth Club
The Youth Club occupies the top floor of the building. The club helps to reduce anti-social behaviour in the community by offering a social and educational alternative to local young people who would otherwise "hang out" on the streets. Young people can come and 'chill out' or engage in music workshops, discussion groups, DJ-ing or play pool, table-tennis and computer games. The youth club is supervised by youth workers and volunteers. The Youth Club is open four evenings a week, split into two sessions: JUNIOR SESSION ( age 9 -13 ) from 4.30pm - 6.30pm and

Alpha Grove is the Docklands Campus for the Anna Fiorentini Theatre & Film School. Classes take place each Wednesday from 5.00pm - 8.00pm. The school, which is a not for profit organisation, opened in 2001 as a Prince’s Trust Business. Since then it has won 3 Business of London Awards and has a growing reputation within the performing arts industry.
